Westinghouse Ceramic Cooktop Problems

The ceramic cooktop we have always had problems with varying the temp they are now just full on.

Really disappointed as it has been the worst oven we have ever owned. However the problem lies that i cannot find a glass ceramic cooktop that has any of the larger burners in the back so that the exhaust will work with them. The oven has blown two elements and the temp is not true to its settings. Food on these utensils can mark or burn on the cooktop leaving a mess that needs more time to clean.

Shall now purchase new ones and they will not be westinghouse. I have a westinghouse phh564 white ceramic cooktop with separate controls. If you see metallic marks or brown stains on the ceramic cooktop you need to do some cleaning. I would like to replace my cooktop read more.

The metallic marks are likely from sliding pans across the surface. The glass may appear to sustain the weight for the time being until the cooktop is heated at which time it could break or shatter when the glass or ceramic expands. Should take a couple of minutes but makes it look great. Truthfully i don t know if that is really a viable solution anyway because who wants to reach to the back while frying bacon or something that requires constant stirring or whatever.

Pick pans up to move them.
